The £42.5million deadline day signing has made an immediate impact since arriving at the Emirates and scored his first goal for the club in the Champions League win over Napoli at the start of the month.
He also has three assists to his credit so far, the highest in the league, as the Gunners sit pretty at the top of the table.
He's the one! Arsenal legend Robert Pires
(below, with manager Arsene Wenger) thinks Mesut Ozil (above) will
inspire the club to a first Premier League title since 2004
Pires, who played for Arsenal between 2000 and 2006 and won two league titles, thinks the 24-year-old German can help the team stay the course.
The Frenchman, 39, is currently training with Arsenal to keep up his fitness.
He told Daily Star Sunday: 'It's now possible for Arsenal to win as the young players have grown up and have more experience.

While the Premier League remains a distinct possibility, Pires believes more work is required before they challenge for the Champions League crown.
He added: 'Seriously, I think Arsenal have got the potential to win the Premier League.
'But the Champions League, I don't know.
'The most important thing is to focus on the league because it is very important for the club and for the fans.'
To Brazil: Ozil scored Germany's final goal in
their 3-0 qualifying win over the Republic of Ireland on Friday,
ensuring their passage to the World Cup finals
