furious Redknapp is hit in the face with a ball as Millwall grab last-minute equaliser against QPR.

Harry Redknapp was involved in an astonishing touchline row after being hit in the face by a ball thrown from the crowd at the New Den.
QPR assistant Joe Jordan also sustained a facial cut and had his glasses smashed in an incident which Millwall boss Steve Lomas claimed was an ‘accident’.
Redknapp was so furious that he even missed Jermaine Easter’s last-minute equaliser as he launched a four-letter tirade at the individuals he accused of throwing the ball.

‘A guy threw a ball at Joe, hit him in the face and smashed his glasses and cut his face,’ stormed Redknapp. ‘Silly really. Someone else then threw it back in my face.
‘But I’m more concerned about Joe — he’s ended up with his glasses smashed in his face.’
Millwall manager Steve Lomas claimed home fans were simply trying to get the ball back into play as quickly as possible.
‘I think it was just two genuine accidents,’ he said. ‘One of the balls that was thrown from the crowd hit Joe and it cut him a little bit, but I don’t think there was any malice in it and Harry knew that as well. The crowd were just trying to get the ball back into play quickly.’
The incidents are certain to be noted by the Football Association, although Redknapp was more concerned that his team had dropped two points. ‘When you are 2-1 up with time running out you really ought to see the game out,’ he said. ‘But we’re doing OK.’
Niko Kranjcar had put the visitors ahead in controversial fashion on 26 minutes as QPR broke upfield after referee Mike Dean had waved away a strong Millwall penalty appeal when Charlie Austin appeared to block Liam Trotter.

Scott McDonald equalised after the break — the first League goal Rangers have conceded in nine matches — then Austin put QPR back ahead, only for Easter to have the final say in the 90th minute.
Substitute Easter had been on for only 14 minutes when he wriggled his way into the area and lashed the ball past Rob Green.

Lomas said: ‘It was no more than the lads deserved considering the quality QPR have. To come from behind twice is a credit to the lads.’

QPR remain unbeaten in the League but lost ground on leaders Burnley and are now two points behind — albeit with a game in hand.
QPR assistant Kevin Bond preferred to focus on the positives, notably the form of former Tottenham midfielder Kranjcar. He said: ‘Niko is a magnificent footballer. He has got that top-class quality, he can see things and he can execute things as you saw — he was excellent.
‘Millwall always carried a threat. They looked like they might get on the end of something, but I thought we did well. We were still the better side, but that is football.’
