Coleman hits out over Spanish claims that Wales duty caused Bale's back problem.

Chris Coleman has blasted reports that Wales’ medics have aggravated Gareth Bale’s back problem and suggested Real Madrid will not see the best of the world’s most expensive player until next year.
The Wales manager heads into a party atmosphere in Brussels on Tuesday with fresh accusations over the cause of the player’s fitness emanating from Madrid.
Bale has suffered with a slipped disc and the story from the Spanish capital is that the £86million man first had the problem when he was with the Wales squad last month.

And he rubbished claims that his medics had in some way compounded the injury, saying: ‘Gareth didn’t have a problem with his back when he was with us. He missed the Olympics with something similar — and our friendly with Mexico.
‘He kicked the ball on the  training pitch in Macedonia and damaged his groin. He was  feeling it on the day of the game. That’s why he didn’t play.
‘He’s not had any pre-season. I don’t care who you are. You are playing catch-up. It’s going to take some time to recover from that, it could be Christmas before Gareth is where he wants to be.’

Meanwhile, Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen has hinted he will consider his future if he cannot break into Arsenal’s starting XI.
Belgium qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 12 years with victory over Croatia last  Friday. And the lure of a trip to Brazil is clearly uppermost in the defender’s mind.
Asked about his position at the Emirates, Vermaelen said: ‘I’ll have to think about that when it’s necessary. January is still a few months ahead. Never playing will not be ideal for me to go to the World Cup, that’s for sure.
‘People ask me if I’m panicking because I’m not playing a lot, but I’m not. Things can happen in a split second and change my situation. I have to be ready for that.’
