Benteke in agony as striker hobbles off with groin injury in Norwich clash

Christian Benteke has handed Aston Villa an injury scare as the Belgian had to be helped off against Norwich at Carrow Road with a groin injury.
The striker appeared to slip during an innocuous aerial challenge with Norwich defender Sebastian Bassong after losing his footing on the slick turf.

After receiving treatment, he attempted to come back on to the pitch, but collapsed after three steps in agony.
He had to be helped to the floor before being taken off the pitch, clearly in extreme pain and substituted for Libor Kozak.
New signing Kozac went on to break the deadock in the Premier League's early kick-off almost immediately after replacing the striker.

Villa manager Paul Lambert was cautiously optimistic afterwards, telling BT Sport: 'He's not too bad. I think he slipped and that caused the injury.
'We'll need to see how it is, but I was delighted for Libor Kozak to get his first Premier League goal. That's why we have back up.'
Villa held on to their slender advantage until the end of the game, which saw boos ring out around Carrow Road after their side's poor start to the season.
